Today Elvis Presley Christmas tree shirt remember my grandfather Edward Ellison who died of malaria-like thousands of others and is buried in Thessalonica Greece. No homecoming for him and he left a wife and four children. Always makes me feel sad, I think of my Mum n Dad who lived through it and passed away not so long ago who always used to watch this and go on parade as a regular RAF officer. We shall not forget the Black South African servicemen who perished on board the SS Mendi on their way to join the SA Army on the battlefield.
