You have a whole lifetime for the latter, but when else will you have such freedom to become whoever you choose and to establish your lifelong values, beliefs, principles, friendships, and passions? Each is a great learning experience in its own way. Different places give you different opportunities. The key is to learn from whichever ones you are in. A university education is excellent and I would always promote it, however, it’s not for everyone, I know a few people who have done apprenticeship after dropping from university and it was definitely the best thing for them.
