The Golden Girls Thug Life shirt say this every year to justify it. They do the works and then the rail breaks and we can’t get to work or it overruns. If I actively saw investment in the railway I wouldn’t mind but all I see is failing Rolling stock and a ToC who couldn’t care less! The prices rise but the trains are always overcrowded and the services used more are never expanded and larger trains put on. It’s OK raising the fares if their obvious improvements but it’s not evident in the services provided to the people paying the extortionate fares.
